  • Accountability: The Camp Safety Network safeguards collected personal information. This policy applies to members, partners, associates, and contractors. The Privacy Officer oversees its implementation.
  • Identifying Purposes: Individuals are informed why their information is collected, including:
    • Enhancing services
    • Meeting legal and regulatory obligations
    • Assessing Consultant suitability for roles
  • Consent & Disclosure: Information is collected with consent. Individuals may decline, but withholding information may limit activities (e.g., services, work). Consent can be withdrawn with notice, subject to legal requirements.
  • Limiting Collection: Only necessary information is collected directly from individuals using fair and lawful methods.
  • Limiting Use, Disclosure & Retention: Information is used only for approved purposes unless:
    • Required by law, emergencies, investigations, or research
    • Publicly available or in individual’s clear interest
    • Needed to address contract breaches

Information may be shared with third parties (e.g., lawyers, law enforcement) or for processing purposes, ensuring protection through agreements. Retention complies with laws, and data is destroyed or anonymized when no longer needed.

  • Accuracy: Information is kept accurate and updated. Individuals should notify changes promptly.
  • Safeguards: Administrative, physical, and technological measures (e.g., passwords, encryption) protect information from unauthorized access or loss.
  • Openness: Privacy policies are clear and accessible on the website. Breaches are communicated to affected individuals, including Privacy Officer contact details.
  • Individual Access: Upon request, individuals are informed of their data usage. Requests are addressed within 30 days, or extensions are communicated as allowed by law.
